For Circuit Court and J&DR Court cases payments for fines, fees, restitution, and costs may be made in person at the court clerk's office, by mail, or via this website.
Not all case types are eligible for Circuit online payment. Only adult criminal and traffic cases can be paid online.
Yes all case types are eligible for J&DR online payment.
Your payment will be posted to your case within about 15 minutes.
The case number should be entered as it appears on your court documents. For example, for circuit court cases the case number format should be CR00000000-00. For JDR cases, the case number format should be JA or JJ000000-01-00. You may also search by your name in the event the case number is not available. *Please note you will not be able to search by the name for juvenile cases.
It varies depending on the court. All courts accept Visa and MasterCard. Some courts also accept Discover and/or American Express.
You will need to contact the court to which payment is due.
This web site will show your fines, fees, restitution, and costs due to the specific court you selected, but only for those cases that are eligible for online payment. If you owe fines, fees, restitution, and costs to the court for cases that are not eligible for online payment, this site will not display those amounts. If you owe fines, fees, restitution, and costs in multiple courts, you will need to search each specific court, and select each of your cases in that court, to make a payment.
The system only offers the ability to search for and make a payment for a single court at a time. However, you may pay for multiple cases within the same court.
Yes, there is a convenience fee that varies per court. This is a convenience fee for using a credit card for payment. The convenience fee will be calculated into the total amount you are paying and will display on your receipt.
You will receive a confirmation of payment at the completion of your transaction and an option to download and print your receipt. You should print or record the transaction number and save your receipt as this will serve as your proof of payment. If you provide an email address, a receipt will be sent to the email address you provide.
Yes, as long as you know the specific court in which the fines, fees, restitution, and costs are owed and have that person's name and/or case number(s).

Personal credit card information is stored only temporarily in order to verify and complete the transaction.
No, an email address is not required. However, you may provide an email address if you wish to receive a copy of your receipt via email after completion of your payment transaction.
Yes, you may make a partial payment. A payment may be made in any amount that is greater than $0 and not greater than the Balance Due.
Yes, your Full Payment Receipt may be used as proof of payment for court fines, fees, restitution, and costs at Virginia DMV locations.
Certain rules or circumstances may cause a case to be ineligible for online payment. You will need to contact the court directly to inquire as to why a case is ineligible for online payment.
To obtain a copy of your receipt, please contact the court to which payment was made.
To locate information for a circuit court case, you may try to search for it using the Circuit Court Online Case Information System, or by contacting the circuit court directly.
For J&DR cases you will need to contact the Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court in which the case was heard.
